Imposter Syndrome: Get Out Of Your Head
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but imposter syndrome is brutal. Let’s talk about it.
If you’re a musician, filmmaker, or content creator, you’ve probably felt that wave of self-doubt right when you’re about to share something new. You’ve spent hours creating, refining, and perfecting your work but as soon as it’s ready to release, that little voice creeps in... “Who do you think you are? This isn’t good enough.”
Imposter syndrome always shows up at the worst time. It makes you second-guess your talent, your progress, and your place in the industry. But here’s the thing—everyone feels it. Every artist, producer, YouTuber, or creative you admire has had that same doubt. The difference is, they didn’t let it stop them. They hit upload anyway.
The truth is, your work doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be real. Progress always beats perfection. Every mix you finish, every video you post, every project you complete pushes you forward. Growth only happens when you show up and create, even when it’s uncomfortable.
And here’s the part most people forget: you’re not supposed to have it all figured out. That uncertainty? It’s proof that you care. It means you’re pushing yourself to new levels.
So when that inner voice starts whispering, “You’re not enough,” remind yourself that you’ve already come further than you think. You’re learning, evolving, and putting in the work—and that’s what makes you legit.
Stop waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect version of your art. It doesn’t exist. Just release the damn thing. Share your progress. Inspire someone else who’s scared to start.
You are enough. You’re doing the work. And that’s what makes you a real creator.
